    The standards and accreditation system in Queensland provides a formal system for the external assessment of the performance of registered community housing providers against the National Community Housing Standards to encourage quality and accountability.

  • Getting started: self-evaluation

    Accreditation is best thought of as a continuous quality improvement cycle. Most organisations embarking on the accreditation process for the first time will take from one to two years to work through the process.

    Prepare for on-site evaluation (continuous process from self-evaluation phase until date of on-site evaluation).

  • On-site evaluation

    Conduct an on-site evaluation.

  • Post evaluation

    The National Community Housing Standards are underpinned by the principle of continuous quality improvement. Continuous quality improvement should become integral to day to day operations rather than being addressed only when seeking re-accreditation.
