Home Access is a Department of Communities initiative which aims to assist people in the private housing market to adapt their home to meet their needs by providing financial assistance and better targeted information. Home Access also seeks to improve the promotion of homes with design features that make them easier for people to enter and live in.
Tips for improving access at home
The Queensland Department of Communities (Housing and Homelessness Services) has produced an award winning Over 100 ways to improve access at home publication. This publication provides information on products and services and a range of ideas to improve access in and around the home.
