In July 2008, the Carer Business Discount Card was launched for Queensland carers who receive the Centrelink Care Payment or the Carer Allowance.
The card, an initiative of the Department of Communities, will save users 5–10% off retail products and services from over 2,500 businesses.
Carers can apply for the card online or by calling 131 304.
