A new housing complex is providing much needed accommodation in Upper Mount Gravatt.

The $7.7 million Dawson Road development includes 22 community-managed studio style units and six two-bedroom social housing units on adjacent land.

The unit complex has been named Bob Green Place in recognition of Mr Green's outstanding service as a community volunteer for the homeless and needy since 1981.

Bob Green Place is managed by Brisbane Boarders Limited, a registered housing provider in the Greater Brisbane area.
