The Communal Vegetable Garden Project is a new initiative of the Tenant Participation Program. Participating tenant groups received grants of $1,000 to develop the vegetable gardens in their estates and neighbourhoods.

The funding allows tenants to purchase items such as gardening hand tools, seedlings and plants, fertilisers, composters, wheel barrows, worm farms, potting mix, trellises and locks for stored items.
