For the past 12 years, the department has been proud to publicly recognise and reward social housing tenants who care for and show pride in their gardens.
The awards are a great example of tenants getting involved in community life and improving their local neighbourhoods. The awards also demonstrate the successful partnership between tenant groups and the department's regional offices.
The sheer number and quality of the 2009 entries presented a tough but very enjoyable challenge to the judges in deciding the winners. Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to all entrants for creating beautiful gardens and engendering a great community spirit.
