Home loans from the Department of Communities

  • Pathways Shared Equity Loan

    If you are a Department of Communities (Housing and Homelessness Services) tenant, and the property you are renting is assessed as available for purchase, the Pathways Shared Equity Loan may enable you to enter into a partnership with the department to buy a percentage of the house you are currently renting.

  • Queensland Housing Finance Loan

    The Queensland Housing Finance Loan offers access to home ownership through the Department of Communities (Housing and Homelessness Services). This loan is designed to help people earning moderate incomes to buy an established house, unit, town-house or duplex; or build a house.

  • Queensland State Housing Loan

    The Queensland State Housing Loan is a home loan product designed to assist you if you purchase the public rental property you are renting or another available Queensland Department of Communities (Housing and Homelessness Services) owned property.

  • Making repayments

    Refinancing your home loan. To receive an estimate on your loan completion date or information on making extra repayments, contact the department.

  • Refinancing your home loan

    To arrange for the payout of a home loan (excluding Rental Purchase Plan), please telephone the department's Loan Payouts section with your account number ready.

  • Property insurance

    You must ensure that the department is fully informed at all times of insurance arrangements on the property; minimum conditions regarding insurance coverage are observed; insurance coverage on the property is maintained.
