• Tenant Participation – a new direction

  The department recently reviewed the Tenant Participation program. ‘Tenant Participation Program Review – Summary Report and Recommendations’ presents the findings of the review and makes recommendations for a renewed program.

• The Garden Awards

  The Garden Awards are open to all departmental tenants, and tenants of community and local government-managed housing throughout Queensland.

• Communal Vegetable Gardens

  Social housing tenants across Queensland were encouraged to grow communal vegetable gardens as part of the Queensland Government’s communal vegetable garden initiative. Funding may be available to social housing tenants as part of the Tenant Participation program.

• Neighbour Day

  Neighbour Day is Australia's annual celebration of community, bringing together the people next door, across the street or on the next farm for a barbecue, picnic or a cup of tea and cake.
