Awards are presented in six categories: outstanding volunteer, community organisation, private enterprise, public sector, education and media.
The awards recognise and celebrate the people and organisations who help promote and support multiculturalism in Queensland.
Nominations for the awards closed on Friday 3 September 2010, with a total of 141 nominations received, the highest number of nominations ever received in the awards' history. Winners were announced at an awards ceremony on 29 September 2010.
