Queensland is home to more than 200 cultures, 220 languages and 100 religious beliefs. Multiculturalism is one of Queensland's greatest strengths benefiting our communities, our workforce, businesses and trade.

Through partnerships and working directly with communities, Multicultural Affairs Queensland (MAQ) aims to:

• promote positive community relations and cohesion
• ensure equitable access to services and programs
• assist community development and participation
• promote the economic and cultural benefits of diversity.

Some of key partnerships include:

• Local Area Multicultural Partnership Program (LAMP)
• Coordinated Advocacy in the Multicultural Sector Network (CAMS Network)
