Seniors Week
$125 000 for Seniors Week celebrations across Queensland
A total of $125 000 is available to support events or projects across Queensland that celebrate ageing, inform people of services and concessions available to them and promote awareness of the contributions and achievements of Queensland seniors.
Grants of up to $5000 will be considered for Seniors Week events or projects. Go to funding to download the information paper and submission, or call the Office for Seniors on 1300 132 654.
Seniors Week will be celebrated from 15 – 23 August 2009.

About Seniors Week
The Queensland Government supports Seniors Week celebrations to promote positive attitudes towards older people and ageing, encourage older people to lead active lifestyles, and to foster inter-generational relationships.

Seniors Week Events
Last year the department launched Seniors Week with a number of activities at South Bank Parklands. Events for 2009 will be confirmed closer to Seniors Week.
