About Seniors Week
The Queensland Government supports Seniors Week celebrations to promote positive attitudes towards older people and ageing, encourage older people to lead active lifestyles, and to foster inter-generational relationships.

Seniors Week Fun Day and Expo
The department will launch Seniors Week early with a free Fun Day and Expo at South Bank Parklands in Brisbane on Sunday 17 August 2008.

Resources
A range of resources are available to help community groups organise and promote local events during Seniors Week 2008. Resources include logo and graphic application forms, example media release, promotional flyer and an event organiser’s checklist.
