2006 Business Excellence Awards
State's most senior-friendly businesses rewarded
Wayne Wendt, Member for Ipswich West with Exceptional Award Winners for 2006, Plaza Shoe Repairs and Key CuttingEight Queensland businesses have been recognised for their outstanding customer service to seniors at the 2006 Seniors Card Business Excellence Awards.
The awards were presented at the Ipswich Civic centre, the MC on the night was Ashleigh Mac from radio station River 94.9, the guest speaker was Bernard Salt and musical entertainment was provided by John Hoffman’s Big Band featuring vocalist Lana Smith.
The number of nominations received this year from Queensland’s Seniors again exceeded previous years totals as did the number of businesses that were nominated. This shows once again that more and more businesses are getting involved with the Seniors card scheme, promoting the Business Excellence Awards and are also continuing to provide great service which is being recognised by Queensland's Seniors.
Plaza Shoe Repairs and Key Cutting from Logan Central won the major award of the evening, the Exceptional Business Award, Trains 4 U were the runners up in this category.
