Supporting volunteers

Volunteers play a vital role in assisting Queenslanders of all ages to lead healthy active lifestyles and help build a culture that promotes fun, safe and fair sporting environments.

Whether you are a sport and recreation club who manages volunteers, or a volunteer yourself, the following information will help you.

National Volunteer Week 2012 - Volunteers Every One Counts

National Volunteer Week will be celebrated from 14 - 20 May 2012. To support you in celebrating, Volunteering Australia has a variety of resources available.  

The Queensland Government has a certificate of recognition (DOC, 1.7 MB) and e-card that sport and recreation organisations can use to thank volunteers.
