The Queensland Government has specific design requirements for plaques. A range of plaque templates has been provided below in both PDF and EPS formats to assist organisations and plaque suppliers in developing plaques which appropriately acknowledge the Queensland Government.
- Choose a template below which most closely matches your event particulars such as number of persons officiating and numbers of project partners.
- The plaque supplier should use this template as the basis for the plaque. Plaque producers will be able to make these changes to the EPS file (which is the same as the PDF but in a design format file which can only be viewed by those with specific design software).

Important note for sign design
- Plaque size and material
An A4 brass plaque is the standard for building plaques used for infrastructure openings. However plaque materials can also include brushed aluminium, stainless steel and stone. Some situations require a variation on the standard plaque which should be discussed with the departmental sport and recreation officer. - Temporary plaques
If time is limited, a temporary brass-coloured plastic plaque with black font can be developed. This usually takes approximately two days for suppliers to produce. Please note that a permanent plaque will be required afterwards. - Standard font
The font used for plaques acknowledging the Queensland Government is black Rotis Serif. - Correct Queensland Government logo
Only use the Queensland Government logos provided in the templates. - Logo size ratio
All logos in the plaque design should be of a similar size.
