Artwork for signs
Sign templates have been developed to make it easier for you and your sign writer to produce appropriate signage.
- Category 1 (Minor) sign design templates
- Category 2 (Medium) sign design templates
- Category 3 (Major) sign design templates
What else do I need to know before producing my sign/s?
- You must use the artwork files provided by the department for all signage
- Ensure your signs are created from original artwork provided by the department and are not recreated or redrawn
- Ensure your signs are not reproduced at a smaller size than the specified size
- For Category 2 Medium funded projects and Category 3 Major funded projects, you must erect a temporary sign during construction to prevent damage to your permanent sign. This can be made from coreflute or metal. This must be replaced with a permanent sign when construction is completed.
- Contact a sign writer in your local area to produce your signs
- Permanent signs are usually made from materials such as Aluminium, ACM or sign white in a frame. Talk to your sign writer about your specific signage needs.
- All departmental sign design templates have a separate code (1AP, 2AT, etc). You will need to advise your sign writer/producer of the appropriate sign code for the sign that best meets your needs.
- For permanent signage, ensure that you discuss the proposed location of the sign with your allocated departmental sport and recreation officer.
- Contact your allocated departmental sport and recreation officer if you have any queries.
