State Sport and Recreation Organisation Development Program

Your organisation must acknowledge the Queensland Government's support as a condition of your State Sport and Recreation Organisation Development Program (SSRODP) or Industry Peak Bodies (IPB) funding.

All references to the Queensland Government and the Department of Communities in the media, publications and any other promotional materials should reflect the positive contribution the Queensland Government provides your organisation.

Your organisation needs to acknowledge the Queensland Government by:

1. Using the Queensland Government logo

Place the Queensland Government logo in a prominent position on your organisation's material including (but not limited to):

  • letterhead
  • website
  • newsletters
  • brochures
  • posters and flyers
  • advertisements
  • event invitations
  • programs
  • annual reports
  • With Compliments slips

Find out more about using our logo.

2. Using the Queensland Government acknowledgment statement

The following statement should be used to acknowledge the funding you have received from the Queensland Government:

The Queensland Government provided (insert organisation name) to (insert project, program, service, name) to get more Queenslanders active through sport and recreation.

Include this statement in any materials promoting the project including (but not limited to):

  • newsletters
  • websites
  • media releases
  • speeches
  • magazine articles
  • annual reports

3. Invitation to the Minister

The organisation agrees to invite the Minister for Sport or his representative to be involved in any event or media opportunity. Find out more about running an event.

4. Producing signage

Signage which appropriately acknowledges the Queensland Government is required for all major events, competitions and functions.

For state championships, award dinners, conferences or any other similar event, you will need to develop a banner or sign to display.

A minimum of one sign (1.8m x 0.9m) must be produced and positioned to capture media coverage and spectator attention (fence sign or court perimeter). Find out more about producing your sign.

The department has specific signage requirements and approval processes for SSRODP funding. Compliance with these requirements will be audited as part of the agreement.
