QRAA funding

The Queensland Rural Adjustment Authourity (QRAA) has funding to further support not-for-profit organisations affected by the flood. To find out about this funding visit the QRAA website or phone 1800 623 946.

Sport and Recreation Flood Fightback Plan

Sport and Recreation Services also has funding available to assist sport and recreation clubs to re-establish facilities and repair or replace equipment which has been damaged in the floods.

1. Financial assistance for tennis infrastructure - CLOSED

The Sport and Recreation Flood Fightback Plan - Tennis Infrastructure Program will provide one-off funding for repairing or replacing tennis infrastructure and is a collaborative effort between Sport and Recreation Services, Tennis Queensland and Tennis Australia. Guidelines and Application Forms are available on the Tennis Queensland website. 2. Financial assistance for sport and recreation equipment - CLOSED

The Sport and Recreation Flood Fightback Plan – Equipment Program will provide one-off funding, up to a maximum of $12,500, for repairing or replacing sport and recreation training and playing equipment.

3. Financial assistance for infrastructure - CLOSED

The Sport and Recreation Flood Fightback Plan – Infrastructure Program will provide one-off funding, up to a maximum of $60,000, for repairing or replacing infrastructure.

4. Advice/referral service

The Community Recovery Line (1800 173 349) is the primary contact point for affected sport and recreation clubs seeking advice or assistance. They will refer clubs to officers who can assist with complex needs and provide advice on a coordinated package of support to meet individual club needs.

5. Specialist technical advice

Access to specialist technical advice including engineering, building and insurance, and restoring playing fields.
