Every day is an adventure so get out there and get active!
Think of getting active as an opportunity to enjoy yourself. It’s best to get active for 60 minutes or more every day. This is easier than it sounds as you can spread out 60 minutes over the whole day. It is really good if some activity makes you huff and puff a bit!
Check out these initiatives, programs and facilities:
- Active Recreation Centres where you can stay, play and get active
- The Children and Young People Strategy, contains a suite of resources for teachers and parents to help children and young people get active
- Young Athlete Assistance Program helps kids excel at their sport by providing financial assistance to help cover the cost of travel and accommodation for eligible championships
- Kids Playground interactive website provides great ideas to encourage kids to get active at home and at school.
