Award categories

You can submit a nomination in any one of six award categories:

  1. Individual
  2. Partnership
  3. Community organisation
  4. School-based prevention project
  5. Government
  6. Indigenous

1. Individual

An individual who has demonstrated their commitment to addressing domestic and family violence in their community by developing relationships with a variety of individuals, groups and organisations within the government and non-government sectors.

2. Partnership

A project that shows collaboration between different groups in the community in the prevention of domestic and family violence.

3. Community organisation

A project by a community organisation or group that shows best practice in the prevention of domestic and family violence within their local community.

4. School-based prevention project

A school-based initiative/project that aims to increase the safety of children affected by domestic and family violence and/or prevention of domestic and family violence through increasing children and young people's awareness about healthy relationships.

5. Government

A government initiative that aims to prevent domestic and family violence through policies or projects that specifically assist and/or inform the community about domestic and family violence.

6. Indigenous

An Indigenous initiative/project that aims to prevent and/or raise awareness of domestic and family violence within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
