Lunchbox sessions

A series of lunchbox sessions will be held to follow up on specific topics to help you and your organisation turn your commitments into action. Lunchbox sessions will be short, action focussed discussions over lunch, providing expert guidance and support from colleagues who are also taking action. You will be able to attend in person, or phone in to hear the discussion.

They will be an opportunity to dive deeper into issues such as:

  • Taking the first steps: creating an action plan for your organisation
  • Setting up corporate volunteering
  • Raising the awareness and capability of your staff to recognise and respond to domestic and family violence
  • How do we change the conversation around domestic and family violence?

Lunchbox Session 2: Best practice in responding to perpetrators within your organisation

Following on from the DFV Corporate and Community Forum and the first lunchbox session, it is clear that many businesses and organisations are unsure of how to react to domestic and family violence, especially when their staff are the perpetrators, not victims.

This session, chaired by an expert in the field of DFV research, Dr Brian Sullivan, will equip attendees with tips and tools on how to act when an employee is identified as, or suspected of being, a perpetrator of domestic and family violence.

Brian will be joined by DVConnect CEO, Rebecca O’Connor, who will contribute from the perspective of the statewide referral and support service for men using or experiencing violence within their relationships.
