Tackling domestic violence

Posted: Tuesday 10 May 2016

Sport and in particular, rugby league is an integral part of life in our community but more than that, rugby league players are looked up to and idolised by young people, particularly young men. This partnership between the Tully Tigers, Innisfail Leprechauns and the Tully Support Centre will promote DFV as an issue in the Cassowary Coast Region and promote the availability of the Tully Support Centre's Cassowary Coast Domestic and family Violence Service. The support of these sporting ambassadors will help bring domestic and family violence out of the dark corners and show young people in our community that DFV is not something that happens and it should never happen. Not Now, Not Ever!
