Moving Forward

Posted: Thursday 23 June 2016

On Wednesday 25 May IFYS hosted a free interactive community information event to promote Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month and the new resource Moving Forward - a booklet designed to help individuals identify the signs of domestic violence in their current or future relationships.

A small, grass roots approach was taken to suit the casual Coolum culture, with interactive art, live music, free food and give-aways to raise awareness about domestic and family violence. A safe, engaging and interactive environment was created for community and services to share resources, stories and information.
