Artwork competition

16 year-old North Ipswich artist Hanna Jones has taken out the top prize in the Queensland Youth Week 2020 (QYW20) art competition.

QYW20 will be held from 1–9 April, and is an annual celebration of young people for the enormous positive contributions they make to Queensland communities.

Young artists aged 13-25 had the opportunity to enter the competition to design the artwork for QYW20 using the theme 'Yeah the Youth!' as their inspiration.

As the winner of the competition, Hanna's artwork will be used as the design for QYW20 – meaning her artwork will appear on all QYW20 promotional materials. She has also won a:

  • a $500 Mastercard
  • a graphic design tablet (Wacom Intuos Medium with Pro Pen 2 valued at $399)
  • a gimbal (DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Gimbal 3 valued at $159)
