Grant recipients

A total of 56 community organisations and young people have received up to $5,000 each to deliver anti-cyberbullying projects across the state under the 2 year Stop Cyberbullying initiative.

The Queensland Government committed $500,000 over 2 years to support the Stop Cyberbullying Grants Program as part of a community-wide approach to stop cyberbullying.

The grants program provides an opportunity for community organisations and young people to develop and deliver local initiatives and projects to address cyberbullying among young people in their community.

Grant recipients will undertake projects that will:

  • empower young people to become positive role models
  • help young people develop respectful and positive relationships and interpersonal skills
  • create supportive and healthy environments for young people, encouraging them to think about how cyberbullying makes people feel and how we can stop it
  • encourage young people who see cyberbullying to speak up and support their friends.
