Gender parity achieved on Queensland Boards

Over the past four years, the Queensland Government has been committed to increasing the number of women on boards in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. The has assisted the Queensland Government to achieve 51 per cent representation of women on its Government bodies, a target the government set in July 2015 to be achieved by 2020. This is a significant outcome as diversity on boards provides clear economic and social benefits for Queensland. There are so many talented, skilled and experienced women in Queensland and we thank them for putting their hand up to be involved in decision-making for Queensland. The Queensland Government has developed a range of resources and information which is available to business and community organisations to support those seeking to achieve or sustain gender parity for their boards.
