Domestic and family violence support services

DVConnect logo

DVConnect is a statewide service that provides free assistance to women, men, children and their pets affected by domestic and family violence across Queensland. Staffed by experienced counsellors, the Womensline (24 hours, 7 days) and Mensline (9am – midnight, 7 days) provide advice and support for people experiencing domestic and family violence and people concerned about someone they know who is affected. A service line also operates for professionals such as police, hospital emergency department workers and refuge staff, to provide information, advice and referral.

DVConnect can provide crisis intervention, support, information, counselling, referrals and access to emergency refuge and shelter placements across Queensland. DVConnect’s Mensline service assists men who are victims of domestic and family violence or who want to address their own use of violence.

Regional and other support services

Regional domestic and family violence services and court support services can also provide assistance.
