Additional support for Queenslanders

To help more Queenslanders join the NDIS, we have established Assessment and Referral Teams (ART). These small, multi-disciplinary teams will apply an intensive case management approach to support eligible Queenslanders with disability as they apply for and join the NDIS.

ART has been made available through collaboration with the Commonwealth Government.

When will ART be implemented?

ART will be implemented statewide in three phases between February 2020 and June 2022.

Phase 1 – early launch

  • Maryborough, Fraser Coast, North Burnett, South Burnett, Cherbourg
  • Moreton, Sunshine Coast, Gympie.

Phases 2 and 3

ART will roll out to these locations:

  • Toowoomba and the South West
  • Rockhampton, Gladstone and west to the border
  • Bundaberg
  • Cairns, Cassowary Coast, Tablelands, Croydon, Etheridge, Cape York, Torres Strait
  • Townsville, Hinchinbrook, Burdekin, west to Mount Isa, the Gulf
  • Mackay, Isaac, the Whitsundays
  • Brisbane
  • Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, Somerset
  • Robina, Gold Coast and Hinterland
  • Beenleigh, Logan, Redlands.
