Brisbane Metro, Greater Brisbane Region, Townsville and surrounding regions.

Target group

Families with children with a disability aged 0 – 18.

Organisational Information

Established in 1982, Mamre is an intentional community that provides support to families who have a son/daughter with a disability. Mamre works from a strong values base that recognises the inherent worth of each person.

Host Provider Model

Mamre works with families so they are envisioning and building a rich, meaningful and inclusive life for their son/daughter with a disability. Mamre believes that all families can direct their own supports, and Mamre’s role in each family’s life is determined by the family. Mamre can assist with planning, management of funding and supports support to build capacity and skills, networking, building on existing informal networks. Mamre has a strong philosophy of working in right relationships with families to always imagine better. Mamre does not provide any group programs/activities.

Supports and services are built around the individual needs of each family. Mamre will, in the first instance, work with families whose son/daughter is under 18, lives within the Brisbane Region and is currently supported by Mamre.
