Host Provider Model

The Red Cross College Host Provider Model offers the person flexibility that is specifically tailored to cater for the person’s individual needs. Red Cross’ model focuses on the “Whole of Life” of a person using a strengths-based and solution-focused approach when working with people with a disability. The “Whole of Life Model” offers a holistic, person-centered approach and requires deep understanding of often complex responses individuals have to life situations.

In order to address the person’s unique circumstance and encourage control over the planning process, the person will be encouraged and supported to make their own decisions, identify goals and articulate realistic strategies to meet them.
