Care Queensland

Available to

Southern Brisbane and Ipswich Region. Remote service delivery available in Logan Albert, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Redlands, Oxley and Ipswich districts.

Target group

People with intellectual, psychiatric and/or neurological disability aged 0-65 years.

Organisational Information

Care Queensland delivers respite and support accommodation for people with an intellectual and/or psychiatric disability.

Host Provider Model

Through the host provider service, Care Queensland will provide support for you and your family to self-direct your funding through a resourceful and flexible plan that best suits your disability support needs.

Care Queensland will collaborate with you and your family and support network if necessary to ensure you have choice and control over your disability supports and services to achieve positive outcomes in your life.

Fee Structure

Three levels of support are offered by Care Queensland:

  • Level 1 - minimal levels of support from Care Queensland for mostly self-directed plans (Care Queensland takes a small part of responsibility for the plan)
  • Level 2 - moderate levels of support from Care Queensland for moderately self-directed plans (Care Queensland takes mid-range responsibility for the plan)
  • Level 3 - high levels of support from Care Queensland for partially self-directed plans (Care Queensland takes most responsibility for the plan)

Level 1 - $450 establishment fee plus 5% of total funding package

Care Queensland will do the following financial management activities as part of this package:

  • undertake fund management (NMDS) reporting and compliance and submit quarterly reporting and acquittal of funds
  • work with you, your family and support network if required to prepare a budget
  • make payments on your behalf
  • hold and manage all funds on your behalf
  • monitor expenditure and manage your financial records
  • provide financial templates to record purchases and other activities
  • provide an up-to-date quarterly report on the balance of your package

Level 2 - $450 establishment fee plus 6% of total funding package

Care Queensland will do all of the above financial management activities as part of this package, plus the following client service support activities:

  • advocacy and referral information and advice
  • ongoing personalised program planning support options
  • support to find suitable support options as per your choice and needs

Level 3 - $450 establishment fee plus 7% of total funding package

Care Queensland will do all of the above financial management activities and client service support activities, plus the following human resource management activities:

  • manage recruitment and induction processes
  • provide advice on staffing recruitment and training
  • payroll, superannuation and payment summaries
  • develop, maintain and monitor staff rosters
