The Queensland Government is committed to delivering quality services to children and adults with a disability and their families and/or carers that promote choice, control and opportunity in their lives.

How do we support families?

The Department supports families in a manner that builds their resilience and capacity to care for their family member with a disability.

There is a range of supports and services available that address the needs of people with a disability and support their families and/or carers.

NDIS Information

Between 2016-2019 the provision of disability services will transition to the NDIS in line with Queensland’s transition schedule. Further information is available at the NDIS website.
