The Queensland Government is committed to supporting Queenslanders with disability, families and carers to exercise greater choice and take up opportunities in their communities.

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme in Queensland

    The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will start in Queensland from 1 July 2016 and will be fully implemented by 2019. Find out more about what it means for Queenslanders and what the Queensland Government is doing to get Queensland ready for the scheme.

  • Queensland Government Disability Plans

    Queensland Government disability plans contribute to Queensland’s commitments under the National Disability Strategy 2010-2020. The Queensland Government is developing a new disability plan to provide the framework to build more inclusive and accessible Queensland communities over the coming years.
