Thriving Communities Leadership Group

The Thriving Communities Leadership Group (TCLG) creates opportunities for the Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors, the community services industry and other Queensland Government agencies to work together to support communities to thrive.


The TCLG will focus on:


Membership is by invitation from the Director-General, Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors.

The TCLG core members have relevant knowledge and experience to drive the Thriving Communities agenda, for example key peak bodies, service providers, industry groups, other key agencies and associations.

The TCLG invitational members are content experts, for example academia, practitioners, social entrepreneurs and experts from the finance and business sector, who may be invited to participate in specific TCLG activities.

  • Tomas Passeggi, President, Queensland Family and Communities Association
  • Mark Tucker-Evans, Chief Executive Officer, Council on the Ageing Queensland
  • Megan Barry, Deputy Commissioner, Public Service Commission.

  • Ian Montague, Queensland State Manager, National Disability Services
  • Vicky Ogilvie, LGBTI Roundtable Representative.


Meetings are convened quarterly. Meetings and consideration of issues may be scheduled out-of-session.
